Meet Amelie

Amelie — or Ami, as we lovingly call her — is our little girl with a big heart for inclusion.

If you spend even a few minutes with Ami, you’ll see it straight away. She is kindness and love rolled into one. She naturally notices the people around her, always ready to help, include, or encourage someone who needs it.

Her Creativity

Creativity is where Ami thrives. She loves making and creating absolutely anything. Give her paper, paints, glue, or craft supplies and she is completely in her element, dreaming up new things and bringing her ideas to life.

Sibling Love

But one of the most special parts of Ami is the way she loves her little brother, Eli.

Eli absolutely adores her. When the rest of us can’t quite convince him to try something new, Ami somehow manages to. With patience, laughter, and her gentle encouragement, she’s often the one who gets him to give it a go.

Ami has also become a natural helper at our Included events. You’ll often find her sitting with anyone who is keen for a craft, happily creating together and making sure everyone feels welcome.

Her Drawing

One day we asked Ami to draw what the word “Included” means to her.

She carefully filled the page with mountains, patterns, and stars. When we asked her about it, she explained that families would be able to move mountains and reach for the stars.

The Ami Sock

That simple but powerful picture became the inspiration behind the Ami Sock — a design inspired by her belief that together we can do extraordinary things.
